Graduate Advantage warmly welcomes participants from all sectors of the community and is committed to adopting policies and procedures which will ensure that service users and potential service users of the internship programme are treated equally regardless of age, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, disability, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, political belief, or religion.Graduate Advantage is committed to ensuring impartiality and equality of opportunity in the delivery of its service. We will not discriminate unlawfully when selecting candidates for internships. Graduate Advantage will ensure that each candidate is assessed only in accordance with the candidate's merits, qualification and ability to perform the relevant duties required by the particular vacancy, and against fair skills criteria. To support this Graduate Advantage operate a standardised application form and short listing procedure for internship positions.

Monitoring is an essential element of our Equal Opportunities Policy. We ask you to provide monitoring information to us as the information collected about users of our services helps us to determine whether discrimination is occurring.
Graduate Advantage encourages disclosure of disability by candidates to the internship programme without prejudice. We believe this information enables staff to ensure that Health and Safety issues are considered and offers the opportunity to explore any additional needs applicants may have.
All monitoring information will remain confidential to the Graduate Advantage team unless you give us permission to disclose it to a third party. The only exception to this will be when you detail any adjustments or specific requirements that you may have for the interview and selection process on the 'Application for Graduate Advantage Internship' form. Otherwise it will be used in an anonymous form to provide statistical information to our funders as part of the project reporting mechanism.
RESPONSIBILITY
The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that all policies and procedures within Graduate Advantage are up-to-date and monitored on a regular basis. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that staff training needs are met. All Graduate Advantage staff are responsible for delivering and promoting this Equal Opportunities Policy as an integral part of their work with all service users.
