An exciting opportunity has arisen at Charlton and Jenrick for a graduate Acting Management Accountant to join the team on a 12 month placement. This placement will provide maternity cover initially, but there could be longer term opportunities for the right candidate.

The company are looking for an exceptional finance graduate capable of taking on the task of producing monthly management accounts plus other duties requiring accounting knowledge during this period. One of the Directors is an accountant and will be available to provide a very limited amount of help at the month end. The successful graduate will need to have grasped the fundamental basics of accountancy.

Charlton and Jenrick manufacture gas and electric domestic fireplaces and employ 40 people with a £5m turnover. They are part of a group of 3 companies employing a total of 110 staff with a turnover of £13m.

Principle duties and responsibilities

Producing month end management accounts

Managing sales and purchase ledger

Controlling company cash flow

Managing bank balance

Managing relationship with factoring company

Managing audit process

Producing year end accounts

Supervision of two full time staff

Finance degree 2.1 and above

Economics degree considered with Accountancy modules

Good communication skills

The company is located on Halesfield Industrial Estate, Telford. There are limited public transport links.
