Care Monitoring 2000 has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Analyst Programmer to join the team. Initially a 12 month placement there will be long term opportunities for the right candidate.

Principle duties and responsibilities

Joining a team of 7 developers within a small but growing company, you will be principally working on the software application 'CallConfirmLive!’

This is a windows application developed in VB.net, with a SQL Server 2005 database. In addition to the front-end aspect, there are numerous back-end services (also in VB.net) that carry out data management tasks such as integration with other systems. There is also a sophisticated telephone call processing system that handles around a million calls per week. Some services are provided through a web portal, developed in ASP.net.

The software is used daily by hundreds of people all around the UK, and the call processing system provides an electronic timesheet service to 40,000 care workers.

1. Developing Windows applications using VB.net with SQL Server databases

2. Developing Internet applications using ASP.NET and VB.net with SQL Server databases

3. Working within the technical team to carry out additional duties as appropriate

Personable, confident and hardworking, with good organisational and communication skills

Able to work well within a small team yet willing to take responsibility for their own development from an early stage

Technical skills with VB.net and SQL Server (v2005 or 2008)

A sound understanding of relational database design

A willingness to follow established coding standards, and the ability to test own work to a high standard.

Technical skills with ASP.net, HTML, xml and css

Any experience of staff scheduling or telephony-related systems
